PHOTOSHOP FOR THE FILM-BASED PHOTOGRAPHER

FUNDAMENTALS

Are you ready to make the transition to the darkside of photography? This isn't my current understanding of digitial based image making, but it's certainly the belief I held prior to experimenting with digital photography (i.e. Photoshop)

Rest assured film-based, creative purists! Working with photoshop isn't too different from putting in the hours in a darkroom or wet-based labs. You still have control (in unimaginable ways), you still find 'the' zone, and you still can work towards perfection. But, image developing in a digital context requires you to call upon the discplines you've guarded for the duration of your film sensibilities.

Here you will be offered the basics. You already know how to tinker and to experiment...you'll wind up pushing what you know to the nth degree. You'll be able to blow your mind without the cost of paper and chemistry.
